Kellie Furin is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. Prior to pursuing her master’s degree, Kellie worked in pediatric hematology / oncology / cardiology at the University of North Carolina Children’s Hospital for four years. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has been working as a family nurse practitioner in primary care ever since.
Kellie enjoys practicing medicine with a collaborative approach – working with the patient to provide total care. She sees patients across the age span and specializes in chronic disease management. She utilizes a collaborative approach with her patients, encouraging them to take an active role in their healthcare.
Kellie is married with two children and has made North Carolina her home since 2002. She enjoys traveling (locally and internationally), sewing, reading, and spending time outside with her family .
